However, I did a lot of research into these, and they are 100% officially licensed! They are often paired with this bootleg Toothless in eBay listings, which is why they may seem fake.

I reckon most people have seen these on eBay, and most people just thought they were bootlegs and scrolled past them. Manufacturer: E-Strong/Changyi Toys (2019)Ĭomplete set: No 4/6 (Light Fury), 3/6 (Toothless) Toothless and Light Fury have 2019 on their tags as they have the newer patterns by Whitehouse. Meatlug, Belch & Barf, Hookfang, and Stormfly have 2018 on their tags because their patterns are re-used from the Whitehouse 2018 set. They are also rarer than the other ones, as these ones were exclusive to cinemas in Singapore alongside regular size plush! Aside from the tag, they are mostly identical to the other releases - the only differences are the Light Fury, who has the scaly fabric, and Stormfly, who has black nostrils instead of blue outlined by orange. I also like that the tags have the character's name on the back. The first is that the tags are rectangular, which makes them narrow and more compact than the massive clunky ones used by other companies. These ones are probably my favourite though, for minor reasons. What is going on with this plushie pattern? I've never seen so many different companies re-use the same pattern. I bough Meatlug during the COVID-19 lockdown, so I haven't been able to take her to get stuffed yet, so enjoy a weird Meatlug skin! These were only available online, and not in stores! The plush seem identical in ever other way, though. There's two Toothless variants - one with coarser material and his black fin, and one that's much softer with his bio-glow! BaB also released all the previous dragons - this time with Hidden World tags.
CLOUDJUMPER PLUSHIE FULL
The Light Fury is absolutely beautiful and I love her to pieces, she's so glittery and pretty and I love her "eyeshadow"! Build a Bear also released little Night Lights who are just adorable, and sold out like lightning, even though they're not full plush but basically accessories.
CLOUDJUMPER PLUSHIE MOVIE
New Build a Bears for the new movie! These are just as adorable as the first lot, and this time there are proper HTTYD sounds from the movie for them! I got one of each with and without sounds. Size: 5 inches (Night Lights), 13.5 inches (Toothless & Light Fury) So I'm very happy to have this baby and will cherish her forever! It's super cool to compare her to the final product and see all the little differences! I was even luckier that this prototype is of my favourite Night Light! As I've said before, prototypes are usually super rare because they are never released for sale, there's usually a very small number to exist in the first place, and they are usually destroyed once the product is done with. So here, the little Night Light's white patches are grey instead. Sometimes I can't believe my luck with my searches! I stumbled across this baby on eBay and of course snatched her up! I have prototype figures in my collection, but this is my first and only prototype plush! Like prototype figures, the colours are always slightly off, as prototypes tend to not be of the final design. The lack of date on the copyright is also consistant with prototype toys, as at the prototype stage the toy isn't released or being mass manufactured, so there is no date to claim copyright on until the design/concept is commercialised. She also has a tush tag with all the correct licensing information, except the front has "Sample only", indicating that she is a prototype sample and not meant for sale. She was either a test for the pattern before deciding the final design, and/or to test the fabrics. This Dart has a few noticeable differences from the final product (eyes, nose, shape face), and obviously her colours are different. Plush prototypes are much harder to fake than figure prototypes, as you can't just remove the paint from an official toy.
